A Dirty Talk Guide for Everyone

A Dirty Talk Guide for Everyone

Since you've entered BADISM's Practices section, chances are you already know what you want. You just don't know how to say it.

Dirty talk isn't about sounding like someone else. It's about finding language that feels natural, consensual, and exciting for both of you.

Here are a few techniques to make things considerably hotter, without overthinking a single line.

1. Start Before You're in the Room

Start in text, not in person.

A message gives you distance. Write the line, read it back, send it without your voice giving you away.

  • "I can't stop thinking about pinning you down later. You're going to be so wet for me."
  • "Just so you know, when you get home I'm not letting you cum until you beg."
  • "No panties today. I want you dripping by the time I see you."
  • "Remember how you sounded last time? I want to hear that again tonight."

2. Create Private Nicknames for Each Other

Dirty talk for couples becomes more intimate when you develop your own vocabulary. Skip the generic pet names.

A nickname tied to a shared joke or a specific scene works harder than "baby" ever will. It proves you've been paying attention. Some names earn themselves mid-scene and stick around long after. Let them.

  • "Come here, my little locked-up toy. Show me how desperate you are."
  • "That's it, pip squeak. My perfect little cumslut."
  • "On your knees, troublemaker. You know what you did."

3. Let Your Personality Carry It

Dirty talk for beginners always hits the same wall: it feels fake. That's because most people try to sound like someone else.

Use your own voice, turned up.

  • Gentle"You look so eager right now. What exactly are you hoping I'll do to you?"
  • Sharp-Tongued"You were so cocky earlier. Now you can't even speak straight."
  • Reserved"If you want a reaction from me, you're going to have to try a lot harder than that."
  • Possessive"I want to put you in a cage and have you depend on me for everything. Eating. Even using the bathroom. Every single thing."

4. Use Toys as Part of the Dirty Talk

Dirty talk for denial play and edging play work on the same principle: the object does the holding, the language does the framing.

Toys become part of the play. Use them to reinforce the scene.

5. Issue the Command

Power exchange makes dirty talk sharper.

A simple command immediately establishes who controls the dynamic. Nothing happens until you allow it. D/s communication at its most direct: the imperative, delivered without apology.

  • "Look at me. Don't you dare look away."
  • "Get on your knees. Slowly."
  • "Hold still. Let me enjoy how you tremble."
  • "Touch yourself. Never cum until I say so."

6. Name the Contrast

Degrading dirty talk and verbal humiliation play often rely on the same principle. The gap between who someone is outside the room and who they're being right now is what makes the humiliation land.

  • "The person who runs every meeting is on their knees begging for my cock right now."
  • "All week you teased me. Now you can't even form a sentence."
  • "My composed, put-together partner is such a desperate mess for me."

7. Set the Role Before the Scene Starts

What to say during a scene comes easier once the roleplay is locked in. You're speaking from inside a character rather than hunting for words mid-scene.

  • Handler/Owner"Good pup. Keep your eyes on the floor until I tell you otherwise."
  • A Priest Who's Been Celibate Too Long"You shouldn't be here. God forgive me. I haven't been able to stop f*cking you."
  • Gentle Dom"Tell your Owner how much you need this."
  • Werewolf"I can smell how much you want this. Don't run. I always catch what's mine."

How Much Profanity Is Too Much?

What is dirty talk at its core? Language calibrated to arouse. Profanity is one dial among many.

Praise kink runs on zero profanity. Degradation can run hot or cold. What are good dirty talk phrases depends entirely on who's receiving them. Some want filth, unfiltered. Some want clinical precision, body parts named plainly, which can be its own kind of obscene. Some want zero swearing and full intensity anyway, carried entirely by tone.

Ask beforehand. The conversation costs thirty seconds. And asking, if you do it right, can turn into its own kind of foreplay.

Where the Limits Are

Consent and dirty talk are inseparable.

Real pain has no place as material. A physical limitation, a job loss, a past relationship that left marks: none of it belongs in the scene.

Their limits are not yours to find mid-scene. Some people don't want family mentioned. Some don't want their real name used. You find this out beforehand, in a conversation that has nothing sexy about it and everything useful.

Dirty talk isn't about memorizing lines or sounding like someone in a movie. The best words are the ones that fit your relationship, your dynamic, and your shared boundaries.
